Hong Kong - China -

Skyscrapers, double-deckers, and Chinese food were my initial impressions of Hong Kong, and I was pleased to find they were spot on. However, once I stepped into the city centre, it felt far more overwhelming—yet exhilarating—than I had imagined. One of the highlights of our walking tour was the view of Victoria Harbour, with its breathtaking skyline. We visited it both during the day and at night, taking in the scenery from Victoria Peak, a ferry, and the bayside, each offering a completely different perspective. The accommodation we stayed in was located right in the middle of the city, but it was incredibly tiny for two guests! We couldn’t even sit properly on the toilet—it was too narrow and squeezed up against the wall. I’m familiar with small flats, as I’ve lived alone in big cities like Tokyo, but this place was on another level. The sheer lack of space completely blew my mind!
