Fun days in Bohol - Week 1 in the Philippines -
1. Social night over Karaoke
It's built in 1596. This is the oldest church in Bohol. The high ceilings with paintings blew my mind. The outside wall is made of local coral. It's a stinking hot day when we visited. There were an ice cream bicycle trailers in front of the building.

This is the accommodation we stayed at Jagna run by family. I was bit worried about safety, security and mosquitos but all good except for geckos crowing at some nights. Well it's a great surprise though 👍
We do love meeting up with locals. Drinks and Karaoke help us to make friends. The first night in Bohol became such a remarkable time for it!
Look at this gorgeous time. I couldn't stop singing and dancing with altogether! Music is universal language😄
They are friendly local tour guides having a party. After this, they kindly took us to our guest house. Much appreciated it. Then I needed to lay down on the bed whole day next day to kill hang over😂
The local drinks, Red horse beer, absolutely knocked me down 🤣 I got a lesson now...
2 . Sizzling Vegetarian food
Absolutely delicious dishes! Finding nice vegetarian restaurants in overseas is tough for us so every opportunity counts. The staff were so friendly and helped us too choose dishes.
3.Baclayon Church
4.A hidden spot in the mountain
To be honest, I don't want to share this place because don't want it to be a touristy spot... But this is a soooo nice hidden place that I want to mention!
Firstly, you have to find the sign of this shop in the middle of mountain and have to step down over 200 steps towards the entrance! There's the river where we swam and even waved our hands to the touristy boats passing by!
5. Animals we met.
It's the first time for me to meet water buffalos! There were 3 of them soaking in the mud. I was sure the one at front were aware of me because he was pricking his ears.
Goats are everywhere!
6. A Primitive life style.
The wall is made of double sided bamboos and the floor is of course in bamboos so you can see through the ground. How to open the windows was easy. Just lift them up and use the bows to hold them.
I do believe that this is perfect because it accommodates the local climat and their use. What we have now is air conditions, gas and electricity....I do appreciate modern tech but it destroys out mother nature at the same time.
We should go back to old school and should know it was already enough for our lives.
