Ho Chi Minh - week 5 in Vietnam 3 -

We came back to Ho Chi Minh before heading to the next country and also to catch up with my partner's friend here. It was bustling and a fast-growing city since I visited 2 years ago, and I heard the property prices have skyrocketed due to the economic boom. Personally, it reminds me of 50 years ago in Japan when everything grew fast. We stayed at his flat on the 19th floor, so the landscape was fantastic, as the photo shows below.

Spending time with his friends and his kids was fun; he took us to nice restaurants, including the local noodle shops and cafes. All of that time was so precious, especially for my partner, not being able to hang out with him quite often because we live apart. We both have friends in many different countries because of our travel histories, and I appreciate keeping in touch and hope to see them somewhere at some point in this world.
