Pangkoh island - week 3 in Malaysia -

We hadn't known of this island until my friends in KL recommended us. He said "There was nothing but that's why it's so chill and gorgeous." And we totally agreed with him now because there was absolutely nothing but just the breathtaking beaches. The ocean was crystal clear, what was more, there was nobody on the beach!!!!! We saw a few locals in the mornings and evenings, and that's it. The shop staff told us that it was low season, even without that, it's absolutely dead but monkeys, hornbills and crabs. We were asked by another tourist, "What's going on here? There was nobody!"  However, that was why natural beauty could be kept in these hidden gems.

A heap of monkeys!

We took a bus taxi as no Grab was available and the driver needed to take a long route to our guest house due to landslides after the heavy rain. The accommodation was spotless, very cozy, and restaurants and shops were nearby so we're happy with that. One morning, a pair of hornbills flew over our heads and apparently were waiting for feeding from us!
There was an attraction to feed them every evening near our stay. We were allowed to try it and they snatched it in a second! My partner put it on his head so it appeared like being attacked by them in the photo. Hihi.

On the last day, we had tea by the beach and the sunset was stunning. Literally, there were no litter on the beach and the clear ocean with not many travellers, so it was a great spot to have a quiet time with nature.
We bumped into Japanese ladies at the seafood restaurant so I talked to them, and then we found that we had a mutual acquaintance! What a small world..
